CNC Turning

Darron SBO's turning capabilities consist of manual and CNC machine tools, the manual machines range from 3m to 10m between centres and most have turn through capability for long slender parts and are practically suitable for machining components where wall thickness is critical.

Our heavy duty lathes are used in preparing parts where high stock removal is required for special operations such as trepanning. Our largest lathe has the capacity to turn a part at 400mm diameter x 9m length and is equipped with heavy duty turn through steadies.

Our CNC lathes are high quality machine tools ranging in bed length from 3m to 10m and most are equipped with 350mm hollow spindles and outboard steadies. The latest tooling systems are used from the top suppliers and we employ special tooling systems on a number of machines for applications including chambering, roller burnishing, hydrostatic burnishing, cold rolling and deep single point profile boring.
